Sarah Shaw

Accompanist

Sarah Shaw is a professional pianist living in South-West France. Following her piano studies with Kendall Taylor at the Royal College of Music, London she studied harmony, counterpoint and orchestration at Edinburgh University with Kenneth Leighton and Edward Harper.

She subsequently worked as a music journalist for The Scotsman newspaper and for national magazines as well as establishing her own music agency in 1982.

Her compositions have been performed in all the major London concert halls and at festivals in the UK and France; her arrangement for cello of the children’s opera Brundibar was premiered in the 2008 Gex Festival.
